Could your business qualify?

These six questions provide an initial indication. The detailed conditions follow. The result is not approval or a decision from the Region.

Do you qualify? Six questions.

No email, no form. The answer appears straight away.

01 An operating establishment in the Brussels Region?

An establishment unit registered at the BCE, with real activity and its own resources. The registered office can be elsewhere.

02 Does your business meet the SME definition?

Fewer than 250 FTE, and annual turnover of no more than € 50 million or a balance sheet total of no more than € 43 million. Partner and linked enterprises also count.

03 Is your sector eligible?

Check your NACE code in the official list. Exclusions depend on the exact activity, with some exceptions for starters. A broad sector description is not enough.

04 Has the mission not started yet?

The Region must receive your application at the latest the day before it begins.

05 A one-off project lasting no more than six months?

A one-off problem, with a start and an end. Not maintenance, not regular subcontracting.

06 Is the estimated grant at least € 500?

The minimum applies to the grant, not the quote. At the 25% base rate, it implies a € 2,000 project: our calculation, not a published threshold. With an uplift, a smaller budget may qualify.

This tool reflects the conditions published by the Region. It does not replace the assessment of a file and guarantees no decision.

What the Region checks.

An SME

Self-employed people and companies meeting the European SME definition: fewer than 250 FTEs and within the financial thresholds. Non-profit associations may qualify in specific cases; confirm their situation with BEE. Links with other businesses can change the size category.

An operating establishment in Brussels

At least one establishment unit registered with the CBE in one of the nineteen Brussels communes: Brussels City, Anderlecht, Auderghem, Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, Etterbeek, Evere, Forest, Ganshoren, Ixelles, Jette, Koekelberg, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Saint-Gilles, Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Schaerbeek, Uccle, Watermael-Boitsfort, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. With real activity and its own means. The registered office can be elsewhere.

An eligible sector

The NACE code for the relevant activity must be eligible. The official list includes exclusions and exceptions for some starter activities. Also check the conversion from NACE-BEL 2008 to 2025.

A bounded mission

A one-off problem you cannot solve in-house, with a start and an end, six months at most. Not regular subcontracting, not your running costs.

The three areas are digitalisation of processes, production tools, products or services; IT security; and website development or technical improvement.

Hardware, recurring subscriptions and standalone training are not covered by this consultancy assignment.

A consultant who meets the criteria

Specialised, active in consultancy for at least two years, with references and independent of your business. The relevant services must be among the provider’s main activities. The provider must not already have delivered two projects to you subsidised under this decree in the past two years.

The standing obligations

Annual accounts filed, under 300,000 € of de minimis aid over three years, no more than 75% public funding, and a diversity plan above 50 staff.

Process digitalisation, IT security, or technical creation and improvement of the site No: content, graphic design and advertising are not funded 5. One-off problem, not recurring? Six months maximum, skill not available in-house, outside normal operating expenses No: maintenance, support, subscription, regular subcontracting 6. Does the provider meet the conditions? Two years of activity, specialised, independent of you, consultancy among its main activities No: file refused, even if everything else is in order 7. Is the application sent before the start?
